Essays due May 1 for annual awards
The Peter Pauper Press, owned
by Mr. and Mrs. Peter Beilenson,
is offering: groups of books as
prizes to University undergradu
ates who submit the best essays
on subjects dealing with reading
and the art of fine bookmaking.
Judges will b? the University li
brarian and two faculty members
to be appointed.
First prize will be ten printed
classics. The books can be se
lected by the winner from the
press's ‘‘collector's editions." Sec
ond prize will be five classics.
The awards will be made at the
All Campus Sing during Junior
weekend.
Entry rules may be obtained
from Miss Bernice Rise in the
Browsing Room. All essays must
be submitted to 'Carl W. Hintz,
librarian, or Miss Rise by May 1.

of TV discussion
“Is Disarmament a Pipe
Dream?” will be discussed on
Point of View over KOAC-TV,
Channel 7, tonight at 8:30.

show in Leighton Pool, the new j
men’s pool, at 7:30 p.m. April 28, j
29, and 30. The show is under the j
direction of Rae Hinchey and the
theme will be “Night on the
Town.”
The water show will depict
night life across the nation be
ginning with Oregon and cover
ing San Francisco, Las Vegas.
New Orleans, New York, and
other hltfh spots.
"This should be the best show
we've put on, and, It will be the
first one we've done In the new
pool," said Mary Sullivan, pledge
trainer for the Amphibians.

These are the five U. of O. students who along with two faculty members have the responsibility of directing the Co-op Store
for you, the Co-op member—its only owner and stockholder. The board which is selected each year by Co-op members determines
all major policies in the store’s operation. Since the present board’s term of office expires in a few weeks, three new student board
members (one sophomore, two juniors) will be chosen at the ASUO elections next month. Nominations for these positions will
be in order at the Co-op’s annual open meeting TODAY at 4 p.m. You are urged to nominate a qualified candidate of your
