names in swimming. He has
coached Yale teams to several

Staffers pick grid 'traditional^
The weeks have flown by, and here we (the Emerald ex
perts) are, on the final Saturday of football season hereabouts,
with nothing to do but take a last-ditch stab at a group of
unpickable (not really a word) traditional battles—all of
which will probably go the wrong way.
Ad Manager Steve Millikin, who led the “sturdy sextet”
in forecasting ability throughout most of the season, fell
ino a first-place tie with Sports Assistant Ranny Green as
a result of last week’s holocaust, while Sports Editor Larry
Kurtz also slipped to a third-place deadlock with Assistant
A1 Hynding.
Writer Dick McKinney and luckless T. J. Williams are
still battling for the cellar.
In order that we might close out the season on a confused
note, we have chosen a game between two teams that no
body knows anyhing about as our tenth contest of the poll
and the last one of the year.
A happy Homecoming day to you all.
