'Cry drama at SEHS
a well-acted production

South Eugene High School
students, with ‘Teach Me How
To Cry,” have taken a play weak
on plot and strong in mood,
charged it with more mood, and
come up with a dtamatic pro-'
duetion well worth seeing.
The psychological drama plays
tonight and Saturday at 8 p.m. ,
in the school auditorium.
The play was written by a new
playwright. Patricia Joudry. and
after a successful run at an off
Bpoadway theater was made into
the movie, “The Restless Years."
Story of a lonely girl
The story concerns a lonely
high school girl, dominated by
her mother, who lives in a realm
of escapism until she meets and

As finals leave TV sets dark
across the campus, students may
look forward to carefree hours
of viewing after next week. As
this issue is devoted to a look
ahead in the entertainment
world, here are some advance
notes from the channels.
Fans of Gumshoe Peter
Gunn will be happy to learn
his show along with NBC run
ning mate Bat Masterson hits
been renewed for another 28
weeks. CBS gets Into the act
this month as jazzman Pete
Kugolo will begin composing a
jazz background for Richard
Diamond. Private. Detective.
For sports fans, two of the
major networks are in the bid
ding for the June heavyweight
championship title fight between
Floyd Patterson and Ingemar
Johansson. Reported price to
lure the bout away from theatre
television is $400,000.
There will be many specials in
the spring breeze from Holly
wood and New York. Durable
Jane Powell will star in a two
hour CBS special on April 26th.
Title of the epic is ' Meet Me in
St. Louis," and Jane will play
the role originally done by Judy
Garland in the movie.
CBS will “Swing into Spring"
on April 10th with swinging
Benny Goodman. Rosemary
Clooney and husband Jose Fer
rer will sing together on the next
