The boxes, each costing about
$20 will hold food and gift - fm
members of a certain family. Tin*
Lane County Welfare department
has supplied the names, ages und
descriptions of each family to aid
in the selection of gifts.

The Christmas tea originated
about seven years ago when AWS
received a letter relating the
plight of a needy Cottage Grove
family with several children.
In the essence of Christmas
spirit, AWS held a tea in Ger
linger Hall, and sororities do
nated Christmas gifts for the
family. Since then, the teas have
been held at a sorority house, and
fraternities have joined in con
tributing boxes.
Chairmen of this year’s tea are

sen. Committee chairmen are Ann
Kirk, foods; Liz Richardson, deco
rations; Suzanne Jette and Pat
Gibbons, promotion; Dianne Mi
Krola. and Joanne Morrissey, pub
licity; Kris Riohurt Hnd Jobea
Ronelake, collections; Kaye Tom
linson and Sue Reichstein, dis
tributions; Clayre Carter, pro
gram; Sally Ferguson and Connie
Baker, invitations.
