that she had learned two basic
philosophies from Schweitzer
who is 82 and still carrying on
his medical and missionary work.
"First, don't take the good things
in live for-granted,” and second,
"have two points of view, never
concentrating on your own.”

Arizona Conclave
Three members of the Univer
sity faculty will attend the an
nual meeting of the Philological
Association of the Pacific Coast.
The meeting is Friday and Satur
day at the University of Arizona
; in Tucson.
Those attending are F.G. Black,
professor of English; D. M.
Dougherty, head of the foreign
language department; and C. L.
Johnson, associate professor of
romance language.
Black is vice president of the
association. Dougherty will sum
up results of his recent research
of "La Geste de Monglane." John
son will discuss Keats, "Ra
belais and Pausanias.”
The purpose of this association
is the advancement and diffusion
of philological knowledge.
