Wesley Foundation
The Koinonia Klass will m«-et
at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Wesley

cussion will be continued on the
topic, "The Things I Wish Jesus
Hadn't Said."
Wesley Foundation has invi
ted high school seniors and their
parents from the surrounding
area to attend a light supper at
5:30 p.m. Sunday. “A Movie of
a Stone” will be presented after
the supper.
The regular Tuesday pot luck
will begin at 5:30 p.m. Francis
Dart and K. S. Wengert will
discuss "The Problems of Co
Existence."
Thursday evening choir prac
tice will start at 6:30 and chapel
services will be held at 9:30 p.m.
Canterbury Club
Benjamin D. Dagwell, bishop
of Oregon, will administer the
sacramental act of confirmation
during the 11 a.m. service at St.
Mary's Episcopal church Sunday.
Canterbury Club will meet at
the church rectory, 2065 Uni
versity street at 6:30 p.m. Sun
day.
Christian Science
The Christian Science organi
zation for University students
will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday
on the first floor of Gerlinger
Hall.
Catholic Newman Club
A special breakfast will be
served to Catholic students and
their mothers at 10 a.m. Sunday
in St. Mary's cafeteria.
Mass will be celebrated for
Ascension Thursday gj 4 p.m.
Thursday in the chapel at Sa
cred Heart hospital. Mass also
will be held Thursday morning
at St. Mary’s parish.
Inter-Varsity Christian
Fellowship
"The Prior Claim," a feature
length, natural color science film,
will be shown by Inter-Varsity
Christian fellowship at 7 p.m.
Tuesday in the Student Union.
The film depict* the ingenuities
of simple animal life and their
relation to modern inventions of
man.
The film is the sixth in a
series of "Kermonn from Science”
by the Moody Institute and in
directed by Irwin A. Moon. The
movie wdl be open to all stu
dents and there will be no ad
mission charge.
Charming Club
Edward Ericson, minister of
the Unitarian church, will be the
guest speaker at the Sunday
meeting of Channing club. His
topic will be "The Human Ori
gins of the Bible." The meeting
will begin at 7 p m. at the Uni
tarian church, llth and Ferry,
and refreshments will be served
afterward.

Foundation
Sunday activities at Westmin

Westminster. A pane] on "The

tions” will begin at 6:15 p.m.
The annual Westminster Stu
dent association banquet and
dance- honoring graduating sen
iors will be held Friday. The
dinner wdll be formal, but “no
date." Reservations can be made

To See Paris

dent, has been selected to attend *
the YMCA World conference at
Paris in August. Roberta, a
Hophomnre in language, will at- ,
tend as an assistant leader on I
the trip to help supervise a del- !
elation of 30 members of Hi-Y I
and Tri-H-Y groups of the Pa
cific Northwest.
He will be responsible for or- i
ganizing group activities, lead- !
ing seminars concerning Euro
pean problems, and conducting
an elementary French class on
voyage.
The group will leave Vancou- j
ver BC. June 21, by ship. Their
first stop in Europe will be Lon
don after coming through the
Panama Canal and stopping at
Trinidad. After spending 30 days
visiting seven European coun
tries the group will attend the
conference in Paris.
Roberts will return to school
here in the fall.

Activities of the group this
year include co-sponsorship of
the Military Ball and providing
a sabre squad to escore the Jun
ior Weekend court for the coro
nation at the prom and presen
tation at the luncheon.
Membership is open to ROTC
junior and seniors with GPA’s
above the average for the cam
pus and who have maintained the
highest standards in the ROTC
program. They are recommended
by initiated Scabbard and Blade
members and professors of the
ROTC department.
