Pat Case, Future Husband
Met First in Kindergarten
“We first met in kindergar
ten.” reminisced dark eyed Pat
I Case, as she spoke of her fiance
! Gene Owen, who is presently in
j the air cadet training program
at Brownsville, Texas.
Miss Case anil Owen attended
Hillside kindergarten in Port
i land together. "But of course we
got much better acquainted at
Grant high school." she twinkled.
After graduation the couple
5 was temporarily separated as
Miss Case came to Oregon to
j major in advertising, and Owen
! went to the University of Wash
' ington as a business major. Miss
’ Case is a member of Pi Beta Phi
and Owen a member of Alpha
j Tau Omega,
A wedding for next spring term
| is planned, as Miss Case will
i graduate next winter term. As
j yet. the future bride hasn't cho
! sen her wedding gown. However,
she does prefer the fluffy, fem
inine styles rather than the soph
isticated satins.
Important in the bride-elect's
hope chest are her silver and
china patterns, "Decor” by Gor
ham and “Kingsley" by Lennox.
Also numbered among her wed
ding treasures is an heirloom
cake decoration, which is in the
form of the traditional bride and
groom and sits on top of the
wedding cake. This decoration
was used on the wedding cake of
Miss Case's mother, sister, and
several aunts.
