In the baekfield with him were Dick James and Walt Gaffney at half Collegiate Players Sponsor Meeting The University theater will hold open house Sunday at 4:30 p.rn.. according to Phil Sanders, president of the University chap ter of National Collegiate flay ers. The organization Is sponsor ing the open house. The meeting will begin in Vil lard 102. Those attending will tour the building as time'permits. Sanders said. A varied program is being planned by lion Finlay, entertainment chairman. Planned for the program are acts from "Club Intlme," presented this summer by the Cascade players. Dalece Peterson, sophomore in speech, and Winston Rust, Junior in speech, will be In charge of refreshments, and Paul Minty, senior in speech, will handle the publicity. All students interested in thea ter work, whether from on on stage, back-stage, or audience view, are invited to attend, Sand ers said. Seats Offered Drive Winners One student from each living organization on campus la need ed to act as a house salesman for University theater season tickets, according to Mrs. Gene Wiley, theater business manager. This year each member of the living organizations having the highest percentage of sales will be admitted free with a guest to the arena theater production, which opens April 22. Students interested in acting as sales chairmen in their houses or dorms are asked to contact Mrs. Wiley at the University theater box-office any afternoon before Friday. An award is given at the annual awards banquet held at the end of Spring term to the individual selling the most season tickets. YMCA Calls Petitions Petitions for freshman officers in the University YMCA are now being accepted by YM President Dave Roberts. Positions open to freshman men include chairmanships for the service, promotion and confer ences and social activities chair men. An assistant to the social chairman is also needed, accord ing to Roberts. The petitions are due by Mon day, Oct. 11, in the YM offices in the Student Union. backs and Dean Van Leuven at fullback. IJnr Changes Made Phil McHugh, a sophomore who grabbed the only Intercepted pass in the Stanford game, waa lunning at end in place of Mob ley, Coach Len Casanova made one other change In the Oregon line, moving Sophomore Reanous Cochrane up to the "green" team at left guard. Cochrane, from Coos Hay, stands only 5'ft" but weighs 189 pounds. The remainder of the “green” team waa made up of the name men who started the last game. Ifai Keeve waa at the other end, Keith Tucker and lain Htlner were at the tackles. Jack Patera at right guard, and Kon Phelster at renter. Prior to the scrimmage, the Oregon coaches had the linemen working on blocking and tackl ing drills, and practicing charg ing. The backs and ends spent most of their time running through plays and working on defense. It is doubtful how’ much any of the three injured players will play against the Utah Redskins Saturday. Shaw will probably not see any action, the Oregon coach | ing staff being unwilling to take | a chance on further Injury in a game which will not count in Coast conference standings. Bob Officer, the Oregon trainer, aaid Monday that Mobley might ace action in the Utah game but couldn’t aay definitely. McGee worked out in sweat clothes Mon day, but missed Tuesday's drill completely.
