    YWCA Mothers
Plan Activities
Mothers of children in the
YWCA Co-operative nursery
met Monday night to plan the
coming year with Mrs. Robert
Vagner, new nursery school di
rector.
Classes will be held each morn
ing, Monday through Friday,
from 9-12 at the Congregational
Church Plymouth house. Three
year-olds attend classes Tues
day and Thursday and the four
year-olds attend on Monday.
Wednesday and Thursday.
There are still a few openings
in both age groups for the classes
which begin September 27. The
children of University employees,
faculty members and students
are urged to attend
The nursery school is spon
sored by the University YWCA,
a community chest agency.

Senior Petitions
Deadline Tuesday
Petitions for senior class
president must be turned in by
5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, accord
ing to Bob Summers, ASUO
president.
The position was vacated
when Bob Glass left school to
attend dental school. The of
fice will not be filled by Vice
President Len Calvert but must
be filled through petition. This
situation was explained by
Summers who stated that the
ASUO constitution is very
clear on all matters of vacan
cies.

'55 Scholarships
Scholarships for study in Mex
ico during 1955 will again be of
fered by the Mexican govern
ment, according to Kenneth Hol
land, president of the Institute of
International Education.
Open to graduate and under

ledge of Spanish, the awards are
given through the Mexico-United
States Commission on Cultural
Co-operation. Awards are for the
academic year beginning March
1, 1955.
