SU Plans Open House For Thursday Evening , The Student Union will hold open house from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday. Highlights of the eve ning will be the president's recep “ tion at 8:30; a movie, "Football Highlights of 1953,” at 7:30; a "Friday at 4” program at 7 p.m., and a Fishbowl Mixer at 9 p.m. Sandra Rennie, SU program di rector. announced Monday that SU standing committees will have displays on the second floor lobby, and committee chairmen and members will be on hand to ex ' plain the work of their commit tees to interested students. Petitions for work in the Stu dent Union program will be avail able and may be filled out during the open house. The SU Board, directorate and members of the public relations committee will act as hosts during the open house. All areas of the building will be open for the eve ning. A special exhibit, "The Artist as Jeweler." will be shown in the Art Gallery. Free coffee will be served in the Fishbowl during the "Friday at 4” program. Marshall Scholarships To Be Awarded 12 Deadline for applications for Marshall scholarships is Sept. 30. These 12 scholarships, established in appreciation of the Marshall plan, are for two years study in Great Britain and are open to U. S. citizens, who are graduates of accredited U. S. colleges.
