    UT Plans Reunion
Sunday Afternoon
The University theater will hold
a reunion program Sunday, ac
cording to Clarence Suiter, pres
ident of National Collegiate Play
ers, sponsors of the event.
Planned for the program are
scenes from current and past Uni
versity theater productions. Ten
tatively scheduled are scenes from
“Finian's Rainbow." ‘‘One Touch
of Venus," "The Crucible,” "Our
Town" and a sceue by Gerda
Brown.

Queen and Princesses
Are Active UO Coeds
Members of this year’s Junior
Weekend court, of which Janet
Wick was crowned Queen Janet I
last night at the-intermission of
the Junior Prom by University
President O. Meredith Wilson, are
as follows.
The queen reigning over week
end events is blonde, blue-eyed
Janet Wick, a member of Pi Beta
Phi. She is president of AWS,
president of Phi Theta Upsilon,
general chairman of the Junior
Prom and was chairman of the
campus Community Chest drive
and secretary of Homecoming.
Princess Dorothy Kopp, the
brown-haired and green-eyed can
didate of Carson 3, served as coun
selor on Carson,3, co-chairman of
Homecoming weekend and infor
mation editor of the Pigger’s
Guide. Dorothy is the newly-el
ected president of Kappa Alpha
Theta.
Princess Janet Miller, a member
of Kappa Kappa Gamma, was
sponsored in the queen race by
Campbell club. She was a member
of the Homecoming court last fall,
and attended Portland State col
lege winter term. She was treas

Three Judges Announced
For Press Essay Contest
Judges for the Peter Pauper
Press essay contest hnve been an
nounced by Bernice Rise, Student
Union browsing room librarian.
They urc James B. Hull, assistant
professor of English; E. U. Bing
home, assistant professor of his
tory, and Carl llintz, University
head librarian.
Hintz will announce the winners
of the essay contest Saturday at
the All-campus Sing.
Ten books from the Peter
Pauper Press "collector’s edi
tions” will go to the student who
submitted the best essay on great
books. Second prize will be five
Peter Pauper classics. Entries
were turned in May 1,
The Josephine Evans Harpham
silver cup also will be awarded at
the All-campus Sing to the living
organization-with the best recrea
tional reading program.
