With only two more games left
In the regular season, the Ore
gon scoring statistic*! have boiled
down to a three man race between
Kd Halberg, Max Anderson and
Barney Holland.
Halberg la the current leader of
the bunch with 160 points and an
11.4 average. But right behind are
Anderson with an 11.0 mark, and
Holland with a 10.5 record.
Besides leading the scorers, the
Jumping-Jack forward from Port
Angeles has the upper hand In
field goal percentage, .440, and is
tied with Holland in the field goals
department with 55.
Big Max ' holds a big margin
over his nearest pursuer in the
free throws attempted column1
with 120 tries. He also leads the
Webfoota in gift tosses, 68.
The tall sophomore from Port
land has also collared the lead In
rebounds, 131 (11.0 per game), and
personal fouls, 52.
Howard Page, who rounds out
tire top five scorers, has taken the
lead from Holland in fr‘-e throw
percentages with 19 out of 24, for
a .792 mark. Holland fell from
above .800, before the weekend, to
.725, (37 out of 51. >

The Washington State Cougars
blasted Idaho'a last remaining
Northern Division title hopes
I uesday night with a convincing
56-44 victory at Pullman.
The Cougars built up an early
lead and held it all the way for the
victory. The defeat gives Idaho
a 7-7 mark in conference compe
tition, three full games behind
Oregon State, with only two
games to play.

In total scoring, Oregon tops its

leagues were the Phi Delts, Alpha
Tau Omega, Sigma Chi, Sigma
Alpha Epsilon, Susan Campbell,
Hale Kane, and Northwest Chris
tian College.
In the "B" dision the top fives
were the Phi Delts. Theta Chi, Sig
ma Nu, Nestor hall, and Hale
Kane.
By virtue of their double crown,
the Phi Delts will definitely
strengthen Uieir hold on the lead
of the intramural race for the
year's highest number of points.
