Huskies To Host Webfoots In ND Dual Meet at Seattle By Jim White Emarald Sporttwrfter The Webfoot cindermen left tqt day for their second dual track meet of the season, with the Uni versity of Washington Huskies as their opponents. The meet, to be held at Seattle will see the Ducks gunning for their seventh straight Northern Division dual meet win. An Oregon victory would strengthen the chances for a repeat championship but Ducks will be up against the stiffest competition they have faced in nearly two ye^-s. Dog Eat Dog Both Oregon and Washington have laid claim to the role of un derdog but all indications are that the meet could easily go either way. The Huskies have more depth and experience in the field and the distance runs while Oregon’s strength lies in the sprints, hurdles and middle distances. Bob Hutchinson will be the chief challenger to the Sprlng bett-Mock 100 and 220 monopoly. Hutchinson beat Mock in last year’s meet in both sprint events. Oregon should sweep the pole vault again as the Huskies have also promise to be weak in the low hurdles and far from outstanding in the highs. The Ducks may have a very dif ficult time in the mid-distances un less Anderson is in very good con dition. In the 880 Washington’s Red Vanderhoof is one of the best in the conference but he will have to beat Doug Clement to win and that isn’t an easy job.
