However, he will be all set to go in this weekend's action against the same team, and Coach Bob Iourence expects his ■presence to bolster the Ducks chances considerably. Meanwhile, the Webfoot netters have been staging daily workouts in preparation for the weekend action against the strong M & I team. Number one man Tom Mc Donald, Paul Willey, and Ron Dowell have been looking particu larly sharp. Willey, however, is ■having transcript trouble and will \not be used this weekend. Three VVebfoots have become sensations overnight namely Hon Hyman, John Heed and Tom Elliot. Lyman, who last year backed up Tom Novikoff and Cece Hodges in the fullback slot, has been switched to an end position. Since both Novikoff and Hodges are ex pected to bear the brunt of the job, Lyman was moved into the line, primarily to fill the gap left by LeKoy Campbell. The red-thatched athlete appar ently has filled the hill us com pletely as a Hilly Goodman, the Boston Hod seeker, who Is shunted back and forth between the Infield and the outer gardens. Assistant 'Coach Jack Koche said the Ly man’s “speed, blocking ability and pass catching” are ull to his ad vantage. Elliot is a six-foot, one-inch, 195-pound freshman halfback who is reputed to have dashed off the 100-yard sprint in :9.8. Johnny Mc Kay, backfield tutor, praised the ex-marine corps veteran, who ap parently looses little swift in the moleskins. Elliot is elusive and can drive well. He may make the going rough for some of last year’s stand-bys. Lino coach Gene Harlow Is high on 21-year-old Keed, five-foot, eleven-inch guard, and a former line hacker.
