Board Rejuvenates
SU Coffee Hours
A student coffee hour forum
>eries, planned to regularize and
ncrease attendance at coffee
lours, is presently being devised by
nembers of Student Union board.
Attendance at coffee hours has
>een surprisingly low due to “ir
regular scheduling and poor publt
:ity,” explained Alburey Castell,
head of the philosophy department,
who has been investigating the
program. Under this plan guests
ind visiting lecturers would be pre
sented at the forums, following a
regular schedule.
These forums would be informal
discussions and question-and-an
swer sessions.
At its last meeting the board
passed a measure calling for a Cof
fee Hour Forum committee of
seven voting and two ex officio
non-voting members. This group
would arrange for all speakers and
handle technical arrangements.
