ending. As the boys lined up for
the last event of the day. the
Mree-quarter mile run. Minturn
' was ahead by the fairly comfort
able margin of eight points. The
Sigma Nus needed nine points to
win. and through the sterling ef
tbrts of Jack Hepner, Fred Gent,
and Vince Tadei. they got them.

Ducks to Enter
Spring Training
Coach Don Kirseh's Oregon var
sity baseball team has on tap a
31 game schedule for the 1952
season. The Ducks will be the first
Northern division team ever to
enter spring training, as they will
spend spring vacation in the Cali
fornia Bay Region for five pre
season games from March 2-4 to
March 27.

University of Oregon’s Webfoots
rocketed into second place in the
Northern Division POC standings
by five percentage points, with a
66-60 decision over the University
of Idaho Monday night in the Van
dals' Memorial Gymnasium, Mos
cow, Ida.
Led by Kenny Hunt, Oregon’s
fire-brand guard, who tallied 19
points and has a 57 mark output in
the first three games of the Inland
Empire series. Hartley Krueger.
Idaho center, dumped in 18 scores
for ranner-up honors.
