of Eugene, a tornado plucked a
machine shed 300 feet into the air
over a farm Thursday, while hail
stones three quarter of an inch in
diameter fell.
Power lines were down in two
places on campus, necessitating
safety measures by the city fire

sive number of power lines blown
down and flue fires, the off-duty
shift was called in.
Present cold weather set in after
the storm subsided, providing new
dangers. State police Sunday re
ported packed snows in the Siski

The police could not predict what
road conditions would be when

Weather conditions at that time
cannot be forecast now, the weath
er bureau said.
