Peterson and Hunt were the sharp
shooters. Hunt wound up with 11

Baldini anil Unis were the fire
ball* of the opposition, making up
for their lack of heigh*, by turning
in tricky offensive performances.
Baldini also gave the varsity boys

Antacher, tallest man on the court,
(iiil a terrific Job as pivot man and
backboard artist.
The final score Varsity 11,
topping Service Station 41.
Though the varsity is rusty now.
It is easy to see that the potential
Is there. They are a long way from
being ready for the Portland U.
Pilots in their games on November
80 and December 1, but Borcher
isn't through yet. Also the team is
sure to be out to avenge last year's
f>7-.r>6 defeat at the hands of the
Pilots.

Bad news arrived with word
that Ed Halberg may be lost for
the season. The six-foot-six trans
fer from Olympic J.C. will go to
Sacred Heart Hospital Friday for
an operation to remove bone
Chips from a broken knee cap. .Td
Will be in the hospital for one
Week and will have to wear a cast
for another three weeks. The ques
tion is whether or not his knee
Will strengthen well enough to
risk his playing this season.
