Some traffic violations will be handled, although the meeting will be mostly organiaztional, Mike Ad ams, Chairman, announced. Tickets for traffic violations are be mostly organizational, Mike Ad now being issued by the campus policemen after two weeks of warning tickets. Violators are to pay their ffhes at the office of stu dent affairs or appear before the court at tonight's session, Adams said. A* proposal to be made to the Senate concerning an increase in the court's jurisdiction will also be discussed by the court members, Fred Risser, Sarah Turnbull. John Beal, Ron Lowell and Adams. Christmas Employment Open in Eugene Area Students wishing Christmas va cation jobs in the Portland and Eugene areas may now sign up at the university employment office, acording to Shirley Sylvester, man ager. Sophomore Whiskerino—Oct. 27 Religious Council Meets to Discuss Reception, Retreat Last minute plans for the For eign Student Reception and final preparations for the University Re ligious Council retreat were made at the group's noon meeting Mon day in Westminster House. Natalie Beekett, chairman of hosts and hostesses for the 8 p.m. Sunday reception, told all religious council members to appear at the Student Union shortly before the affair, the men wearing suits and the women short silks. Jane Simpson, chairman for the Council retreat, announced that all council members attending the over-night confab would meet at 4 p.m. Friday in front of Gerlinger Hall. The retreat will take place at a Baptist lodge several miles out side Eugen^. All council members were urged by Jack Merner, University YWCA secretary, to encourage students in their respective campus religious groups to attend the talks of Mrs. Lois M. Wichman,, a worker for the Student Volunteer Movement, who will be on the campus Sunday and Monday. The Volunteer Movement speak er will talk on the importance of having greater unity among re ligious groups today in light of the crucial international crisis and also try to interest students in the many important jobs open in the Christian vocation. The next meeting of the council will be at noon Monday in West minster House. Most of the girls favored the edi torial page, while they showed the least interest in sports events. Four out of five men questioned said they prefer the sports page. The dislikes of the men varied.
