Kxecutlve Council Gone The Senate replaces the Execu tive Council, the governing body of the ASUO under the old consti tution, (The new constitution was Voted In by the ASUO during spring term of 1950, to go into effect after spring term of this year. The elections of last spring term were contacted under the new constitution, however.) Assisting the ASUO president and submitting proposals to the Senate is the Cabinet. This body consists of the president, vice president, and the non-elective officers of the ASUO. Ex-officio non-elective members include the chairman of the Student Union Hoard, italph Hlllier; chairman of the Co-op Board, Bill Marshall; Emerald Editor Lorn a Larson; Associated Women Students Presi dent Nancy Allison; and Director of Student Affairs Donald M. Du Shane. Newburn, or the ASUO Senate, and the Constitu tional Committee, which renders decisions and advisory opinions on the interpretation of the consti tution, student legislation, and elections. Also an agent of the ASUO is the Student Union Board. ASUO and class officers and rep resentatives are elected each year during spring term (except fresh man officers and representatives). Preferential voting is used to select these officers and representatives.
