PORT LA XD—(AP)—The trout season opens Saturday in
Western Oregon streams.
The state game commission pointed out that stream conditions
are excellent, the weather forecast favorable—and 222,(J00 Ore
j gon fishermen had licenses last year.
That number won’t be out in full force Saturday, the commis
| sion implied, in calling attention to the restricted area for the
j first day’s fishing. Only coastal streams and the drainages of the
! Willamette. Sandy and Hood Rivers are open Saturday,

Since March 1, 250,000 yearling trout have been placed in

4. Persons who enter this class

Class It Handicap Division
1. Open to all bowlers who have
established averages in a league at
the HU, including fall term leagues.
Must have a minimum of 12 games
in league play for the average.
Otherwise, an average of 150 w-ill
be acceptable. If there are any
complaints about accepting tins
average, a committee will deckle
each case.
2. Bowl twelve games in series of
three each. 180 scratch, two-thirds
handicap. Use highest known SIT
average. Maximum handicap is 30
| a game.
Class C Beginners and Non-League
1. As name indicates, all bowlers
with less than 12-game average as
defined in Class B and all beginners
with no established average are eli
gible.
2. Bowl a qualifying round of six
games, after which the lower half of
entries will be eliminated on a
scratch hauls. Then Isiwl a second
round of six games.
The handicap will be based on
the score in the qualifying round.
It will be 180 scratch, two-third*^
maximum; 50 pins maximum.
