The discussion will be for the
purpose of helping foreign students
in this country to know how better
to interpret their country to the
Americans, and how, on their re
tern to their homeland, to intrepret
America to their fellow country
men. The luncheon will be held at
12 noon in the Student Union cafe
teria.
Following the luncheon will be a
coffee hour from 3 to 5 p.m. in
Gcrlinger Hall. Dunng this infor
mal "get acquainted" hour, there
will be entertainment by the for
-:gn student's cosmopolitan Club
under the direction of Dirk Sche
Pers, from Holland. Selections on
the program will include a violin

■ r >m F.ugene: a Guatamalan dance
by Victoria Perez; German folk
songs by the German group, led by
Wilfred Maeding: a French duet bv
Pierre "King of Hearts" Pasquio
and Maurice Morello; a Japanese
dance by June Nakada and Yoshiko
S.-ki: a Philippine dance by Glory
Galia and Celia Olivar; and the
dramatizing of an American folk
-ong by the YWCA freshman music
commission.
Additional entertainment will be
put on by the Oregon State Cosmo
} olitan Club. All of the entertain
ment will be done in native cos
tume.
At 5:30 p.m. in Gerlinger sun
porch, a dinner for foreign and
American students will be prepared
and served by the Sophomore Com
mission social chairman, Mimi
Jones and Sue Lichty. ’
