Fourth Win The 66-47 win over the Beavers Saturday was the fourth consecu tive ND win and the sixth in a row starting with the St. Mary’s game in the Bay city. Those four division wins raised Oregon straight out of the base ment and into a tie with WSC for first place in the ND. Oregon won two tough games from the Vandals at Eugene, 60-56 and 62-56, and with Idaho playing op their home floor in Moscow, things will be even tougher. The Ducks have not yet met Washington State this season, but the early performances of the Cougars have been fair warning that a rugged pair of games is in the offing. Same Starters Coach John Warren does not plan to change his starting lineup for the first game against Idaho. Sophomores Curt Barclay and Bob Peterson will take the forward po sitions, Junior Center Jim Loscut off will line up to jump, and Sen iors Jack Keller and Mel Krause will again be the starting guards. Captain Will Urban got a chance to try out his injured foot in the second OSC clash and he showed up well. He will make the trip. Frosh Eligible Next Fall, PCC Man Predicts SPOKANE — — The Pacific Coast Conference will have fresh men eligibility rules similar to those in effect during World War II, H. P. Everest said here Sunday. Everest, University of Washing ton’s PCC faculty representative and former conference president, said the National Collegiate Ath letic association may put a ruling on freshmen eligibility into effect without referring the matter to a full meeting of the association. Everest said the NCAA left it up to its 13-man council to decide the question. He added frosh rules probably will be discussed at a PCC meeting in San Francisco early next month. Everest was here to address the semi-annual high school scholar ship awards banquet of the Spo kane Junior Press club.
