Wednesday in the book’s offices, third floor of the Student Union. "Any student interested in work ing on either the editorial or the business staffs is invited,” Editor Ruth Landry explained Monday. "No experience is necessary.” Several different positions are open for a large number of work ers, the editor said. Openings on the editorial staff include copy readers, layout staff, copy writ ers, art staff, indexing, secretar ial, and typists. The business staff will need house representatives, typists, and advertising salesmen, Business Manager Bob Schooling stated. Entertainment and refreshments will be provided at the meeting at which students may meet the staff and sign up for positions. Staff workers will go through ap plications and contact students when they have been assigned to specific jobs. Grad Gets Award James McGrath, graduate stu dent in art education, has been awarded a $750 scholarship by the J. K. Gill Company of Portland. itie award came as a result of McGrath’s work on a project of analysis of art educational meth ods for use in secondary schools. Alums to Fill 7 Positions Seven University of Oregon alumni have accepted positions on the new alumni advisory com mittee to the Athletic Director. The committee will meet to dis cuss athletic matters and bring the alumni point of view into the determination of athletic policy, according to Leo A. Harris, Uni versity athletic director. Serving on the committee will be Charles R. Holloway and Don Kennedy, Portland; C/S. Manerud and Richard Reed, Eugene; Robert Lovell, Astoria; William Barker, Medford; and George Corey, Pen dleton. Special Invitation To Game Movies Issued to Co-eds Oregon co-eds have been issued a special invitation to today’s foot ball movies of the Oregon-Montana game by Dick Olson, Student Un ion Directorate publicity chairman. The movies will be shown in the ballroom of the SU from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. “In the past the audience has been chiefly male,” Olson said, “and the girls are missing a chance to learn some of the finer points of the game.” Coach Jim Aiken will give a chalk talk and description of the game, followed by a scouter’s opin ion on next Saturday’s game with Idaho by Jerry Lillie, assistant football coach.
