Party, Bazaar
Set Fall Term
By Art Students
Pall term activities at the
School of Architecture and Allied
Arts, sponsored by the Associat
ed Students of Architecture and
Allied Arts, will include the an
nual Frosh Party and the Art
Bazaar.
These activities were among
those discussed and approved by
the steering committee of the
' ASAAA Oct. 3, President John
Amundson announced Wednesday.
The Frosh Party is scheduled
for Oct. 27. General managers are
Kitty Lou Shaw, Jeanne Hall, and
Nancy Luce.
No definite date has been set
for the bazaar, but present plans
call for it to be staged immediate
' ly before the Christmas holidays.
A1 Staehli and A1 Zurflue are do
ing the planning.
Work toward improvement of
the ASAAA-sponsored student
faculty seminar lounge will be
j undertaken throughout the year,
Amundson said.
Beginning Monday, the ASAAA
will make a determined effort to
gain more members. The drive
will be on for three weeks.
KOAC Begins
Radio Season
The University’s broadcasting
season over KOAC begins Monday,
with the week’s schedule released
from the studios Tuesday.
All broadcasts, although origin
ating at studios in Villard Hall, will
be on a state-wide hookup over sta
tion KOAC.
The Schedule:
Monday night: Victor P. Morris,
dean of the School of Business Ad
ministration, will speak on “World
on Review,” 8 to 8:15 p. m. Campus
news and sports is scheduled at
8:15 and "Campus Recital” featur
ing advanced music students, at
8:30.
Wednesday night: Music by the
music school faculty is slated from
6:15 to 6:45. At 6:45 Alburey Cas
tell, head of the philosophy depart
ment, will present a program.
Thursday night: University
Hour, presenting popular music
■with student talent, at 4 p. m. Cam
pus interviews are scheduled for
4:15 and Radio Workshop, student
dra^tea presentations, finishes the
day’s schedule at 4:30.

Plans Social
A social will open the year for
the Deseret Club, at 7:00 p. in.

Carol Udy, president, has announc
ed.
Films of last year's activities
will be shown. A short business
meeting is also on the schedule,
with the election of a vice-presi
dent scheduled. Refreshments and
dancing will round out the even
ing.
All Latter Day Saints students
on the campus are invited, Miss
Udy stated.
