Oreaana Picks Upper Staff
Upper staff appointments on the1
1951 Oregana, which goes on sale
during registration this week, were
announced Tuesday by Editor
Ruth Landry and Business Man
ager Bob Schooling.
Associate editors will be Kathy
Littlefield, layout; Bob Funk,
copy; and Pat Mullen, houses.
These three appointments are
subject to the approval of the Pub
lications Board.
Art editor will be Bonnie Birke
rneier.
Yearbooks will be sold on the
partial payment plan again this
year, with two $3 payments tak
ing the place of the three S2 pay
ments, Schooling explained. Stu
dents may also pay the full ?6 im
mediately.
On the business staff, Paul Pat
terson will be advertising man
ager: Jane Weber, executive secre
tary; and Bob Haugaard, pro
motion. Publicity director for both

editorial and business staffs is
Gretchen Grondahl.
Explaining the partial payment
plan, now going into its second
year, Schooling said that students
may pay $3 at registration now
and the other §3 winter teim.
This year's edition will be
about the same size as the 1950
book—around 400 pages—the edi
tor predicted. She plans to have
about the same amount of color,
possibly more.
Open house for students who
wish to work on the 1951 Oregana
will be scheduled sometime next
week, Miss Landry said. New stu
dents will be especially welcome,
she stated.
We hear so much about better
autos being built—it's too bad we
can’t have better drivers to go
with them.
Many divorces are due to a stale
