Bowerman Flies
17-Man Team South
Bill Bowerman will take off by
ptane with his 17-man track squad
at 10:30 a.m. today for the Pacific
Coast Conference track meet in
Berkley.
Bowerman listed his team, cham
pions of the Northern Division, as
follows:
100-yard dash, Bill Fell, Jack
Smith, and Mitch Cleary; 220
yard dash, Feli; 440-yard dash,
Dave Hentliorne, A1 Bullier, Jack
Countryman; 880-yard das h,
Walt McClure; mile, Jack Hutch
ins and Art Backlund; two-mile,

A mile relay team will be entered
by the Duck mentor if he feels it
v. ill make any difference in where
Oregon finishes in the meet, Bower
nan stated last night. The relay
team will be composed of four men
out of the quintet of Fell, Bullier,

Cieary.

hall parks on the opening days —

Chi Psi, Phi Delta Theta Tie
For Intramural Trophy Points
It never has happened before.
New intramural history was
made yesterday when statisticians
found that two teams have tied in
IM point totals.
The two teams—Chi Psi and Phi
Delta Theta- ended a nine-sport
season with 796 points apiece. The
co-champs will “divide” the trophy
until next year’s champ is decided.
The first ten of the forty-five
entries in the race were as follows:
(1) Chi Psi and Phi Delta Theta,
796; (3) Beta Theta Pi, 679; (4)
Sigma Chi, 660; (5) Minturn, 650;
(6) Theta Chi, 638; (7) Sigma Al
pha Mu, 626; (8) Sigma Nu, 614;
(9) Alpha Tau Omega, 604; (10)
Kappa Sigma, 600.
