    Library Day Contest
Winners Get Books
Books worth $150 were awarded
student winners in the Library Day
Prize contest Saturday.
AvVards were made by C. W.
Hintz, head librarian, at the Li
brary Day dinner, held in Carson
Hall Saturday evening.
Winners in the undergraduate
specialized library were Hiroto
Zakoji, senior in anthropology;
first prize, Lester Pederson, senior
in law; second prize, Vic Slack,
junior in painting; third prize,
Richard Hansen, sophomore in lib
eral arts, honorable mention.
Undergraduate general library
prizes were awarded to James Al
bertson, freshman in liberal arts
first; Bob Briggs, sophomore in lib
eral arts second; William Williams,
junior in psychology third; and
Harold Bauman, senior in general
science honorable mention.
Herbert Carlin, history, placed
first in the graduate students lib
rary division. Second place went to
James Harrison, political science;
third place to Horace Manning,
psychology; and honorable men
tion to Shyun Daw Shaw, political
science.
Seventy-two libraries were ent
ered in the annual contest.
