Winners were Hunter, Sherry Ross, Sigma Alpha Mu, Sederstrom, Sig ma Alpha Epsilon, and Sigma Phi Epsilon. Thrilling Clash The most thrilling clash on the afternoon’s card was the Hunter- j ' Theta Chi scrape. Bob Lucas pulled the monkey out of the barrel by splitting the hemp for two in the last seconds of the game, and this ■was the field goal that gave Hunter a breath-taking 16-15 win. Sammies Win Sherry ,Ross spilled Tau Kappa Epsilon 16-8 while in the adjoining - court the Sammies spilled Cherney 32-12. As a result of this win the SAM crew cinched top spot in lea ,igue three of the “B” division. Sederstrom eked out a 22-20 win over Lambda Chi Alpha. SAE top , puled Alpha 15-3. SAE will meet ■ today's winner of the Delt-Omega clash on Thursday at 5:15 for the “B” championship in league four. Intramural Director Everett Ferry lias announced that there will be a meeting of managers on Wednesday at 8:45 in the in tramural office to decide the play-offs for the A and B bask et hail crowns. Of course, Hank, who hails from Hu ron, South Dakota, is 6 feet, 7 in ches tall, and weighs 212 pounds, so he could probably wade right through snow drifts that the rest of us couldn’t even see around. Influenced by I?Wg Hank explains his migration from South Dakota to Oregon as being heavily influenced by ex Duck basketball great Reedy Berg. Reedy is also from Huron and’ in formed Hank of the many advan tages to be derived in the Universi ty Physical Education school, and as Hank plans to become a coach, he was easily convinced that Ore gon was the school for him. Eighteen years old Hank gradu ated from high school last June, and (Please turn to page six) WILL URBAN star of the Oregon-Idaho series now leads the scoring for the Ducks. Urban will be in the starting lineup when the Ducks travel north to the Aggie country Friday night, and return to the south and play at Mac Court Saturday night. Kirsh Calls Baseball Meeting; Freshman Golfers to Organize Coach Sid Milligan stated that arrangements have been made for a Freshman golf squad for the cur rent year and a schedule is being worked out. All Freshmen inter ested should register under varsity golf for the credit. He will take over the reigns for the final games of the Oregon season against the Ore gon State Beavers Friday and Sat urday night. Visit Brief Although Warren’s visit was brief, the team showed fire and determi nation in a brief fifteen minute scrimmage against some of the re serves that set up Beaver defenses. Kirsch ran the practice although Warren appeared. During the Idaho series which Oregon split, last weekend, Will Urban took over the scoring lead in the Northern Division competi tion with a 17 point average to bring his total to 130 points. Series Split The Oregon-OSC series has been split to date, with OSC winning at Oregon State 65-49, and Oregon winning 45-34 at McArthur Court. Bob Antonacci’s Beavers estab lished themselves as strong con tenders for the Pacific coast crown this season when they knocked off the defending PCC champion Wash ington State Cougars, 15-11, at Pullman last weekend.
