BA Graduates Laud School Preparation of Oregon's business administration students for gradu i ate work in retailing was lauded I by Bill Green and Bert Tonkin, ’49 1 graduates, in a recent letter to N. j H. Cornish, professor of business [administration. Tonkin and Green, both winners of retail service and tuition schol arships, are working for masters degrees in retailing at New York University and City College of New York. Both students feel that the back ground work offered by the Uni versity is particularly good, and I aids immensely in graduate work and part-time store service, Cornish stated. They also commented on the progress of other scholarship win ners who are working in New York department and chain stores. Am ong former students listed were Bill Shroud, Fred Weber, and Marty Pond, all employed as as sistant buyers. “The University of Oregon has sent more students to New York University on scholarships than any other school in the country except New York University it self,’’ Cornish declared.
