A general meeting will be held at 9 a.m. in the graduate place ment office. Individual appoint ments will follow. Dr. Schleicher Dean of Annual IR Conference Dr. Paul D. Schleicher has been named dean of the annual session of the Northwest Institute of In ternational Relations to be held June 12-18 on the Reed college campus. The topic for discussion will be “U. S. Foreign Policy—A World View.” Participants in this institute in clude outstanding men in the field of foreign affairs. Before coming to the University of Oregon campus in 1947, Schlei cher was at the University of Utah. In 1945-46 Dr. Schleicher was chief of the committee coordinat ing section of the department of state. The institute is sponsored by the World Affairs Council of Oregon, the University of Oregon, Reed college, and Portland public school system.
