Returns to Old Job MRS. BETTY FERRERI, acquitted (March 19) of the meat-axe slaying of her husband, Jerome, works at her old job again, that of a waitress at a Los Angeles drive-in restaurant. “I’m financially dis abled and I have to work,” she said. (AP Wirephoto) Tom Brownhilt Lawyer's Prexy Tom Brownhill, second-year law student, was elected president of the law school student body Wed nesday and will begin his duties immediately. Brownhill won by a three-vote margin over Don Myrick, who thus gains the office of vice president. Dovy Jo Carlos, one of the two women in the law school, received a unanimous vote for secretary treasurer. This is the second term she has held that position. Brownhill was the candidate of Delta Theta Pi, law fraternity, while Myrick represented Phi Al pha Delta. Outgoing officers are Ed Allen, president, and Doug Hay, vice president. Week-end Parade To Spot 28 Floats Six judges for the annual Junior week end float parade have been named by Chairman Phil Patter son. In addition to the judges, Pat terson revealed that the 28 floats this year will follow the same pa rade route as last year. Judges are: Mayor Ed Johnson; Oren King, Eugene city manager; Ann Connell, society editor of the Register-Guard; Mrs. J. F. White, buyer for Tiffany-Davis drug store; and faculty members R. D. Clark, assistant to dean of college of lib eral arts and R. R. Farens, assist ant professor of architecture. Floats should form, in order to be announced in Saturday’s Em erald, downtown at Fourth and Charnelton by 3:15 p.m. Saturday. Parade route will be up Willamette to 13th, left out 13'th toward the campus, to the right up University to 18th. The parade will then turn left and end in front of the ATO house.
