Soph Men To -Present Award Applications for the William Fra ger memorial scholarship, awarded to an outstanding sophomore man hy Skull and Dagger, sophomore men’s honorary must be turned in by noon Thursday according to honorary president Barry Moun tain. The scholarship will be a three term full tuition award in memory of William Frager, class of ’39, who was killed in action over France during the last war. Applications may be obtained from Mountain at the ATO house. To be eligible, an applicant must be a male member of the class of ’51, have attended the University for the past five consecutive terms, have a GPA cumulative of 2.75 or better, and be registered as a regu lar resident student. Seek Speaks on Family Dr. L. F. Beck, associate profes sor of psychology, will speak on “Some Psychological Aspects of Family Life Education,” at 7:45 today in the Wheeler room of the Congregational church in Eugene. His talk will be illustrated with colored slides depicting the ideas that children have of their moth ers and fathers. The meeting is open to the public. At the same time, the board will examine drawings of the new heat ing plant. Appropriations for the plant’s construction have already been approved. A committee which included Ir win I. Wright, head of the physical plant, and R. T. Ellickson, asso ciate dean of the graduate school of physics, was in Portland yes terday discussing plans with Lawrence, Tucker, and Wallman, architects, who have prepared the plans for the science building. The main task of the commit tee will be to revise earlier plans for the building, to fit current budget allowances. If the board approves the revised plans, the University expects to receive a final budget approval on or after July 16. The court will probably set up a sistem of car-registration, with all student cars on campus being re quired to have numbered wind shield stickers.
