Oregon Emerald Fiftieth Year of Publication and Service to the Universitv k'OLUME L UNIVERSITY OF OREGON, EUGENE, TUESDAY, MAY 3, 194!) NUMBER 124 Princess Good Watcher I A princess with a royal personality is Donna Masterson, brown eyed, brunette member of the Junior Weekend court. Although ex ‘Cited and thrilled about her new position on the campus, Donna main tains an unaffected nature uncommon in royal heights. Donna is kept busy filling her duties as vice president of the l)elta Delta Delta sorority, and she has been song leader of her house. “I always find time for concerts of all kinds and I love to spend an evening dancing,” she added. “And one of my'favorite pastimes is watching sports,” quickly putting the emphasis on “watching.” She explained that she is a teammate of the Tri-Delt softball team, “but -I don't play very much,” she said laughingly. A graduate of Vale high school in eastern Oregon, she is now jnajoring in history, but plans to work as a legal secretary near home. “My home town,” she explained, “is just a small town that grows many sugar beets, but my contribution to the industry was only a half a day’s work in the fields. Each summer I watch everything from German prisoners to imported Mexican help come to harvest the crops.” - Donna's past experience before a crowd includes only playing the part of a mystic in her junior class play in Vale. Being a princess is much different than that of a mystic, she added, “but I’m looking for ward to the weekend and I’m doubly glad I had my mid-term on Wednesday instead of Friday!” rGet-together'Tea Due Saturday One of the main events of Moth ers’ weekend will„be the big Moth ers’ Tea Saturday afternoon, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Gerlinger hall. .
