.USA Petitions Due Saturday Deadline for ASUO petitions for the USA party has been set for 12 ''noon, April 9, Walt Freauff, USA president, announced yesterday. Positions are open for first and second position, ASUO; sophomore, junior, and senior representatives *to the ASUO executive council; first and second positions for the sophomore, junior, and senior 'Classes; Co-op board; and yell king. Freauff stressed the importance of submitting an eligibility slip vwith each petition. Petitions may be left at the ASU sO president’s office, Emerald hall, or with Freauff at Sederstrom hall. They will also be accepted by mem »bers of the USA steering commit tee: Olga Yevtlch, Alpha Xi Delta; Plans Wold, Campbell club; Art vWahlers, Phi Sigma Kappa; Ron Phillips, Phi Kappa Sigma. Allen Calls for Court Members More petitions for traffic court •judges on the new student court were called for yesterday by stu dent body president Bob Allen. Three judges will be selected: one sophomore, one junior, and one sen sdor. Petitions are due in Allen’s of fice by Monday noon. Campbell Speaks To Business Women Laurence Ft. The executive council will con sist of Dorothy Sutton, first vice president; Joanne Frydenlund, second vice president; Joan White, secretary; Mildred Doering, treas urer; Pat McGinty, relations chair man; Dorothy Orr, social chair man; Marjorie Petersen, scholar ship chairman; Jackie Morris, pub licity chairman; and Margaret Wickenden, standards chairman. Retiring officers include presi dent Margaret Rauch, Joan Loper, Ann Woodworth, Shirley Lukins, Sue Mercer, Pat Kaiser, and Pat Grimstad. Petitions Due For Mothers' Day Student body president Bob Al len yesterday called for additional petitions for Mothers’ Day chair manships. Petitions are due in his office by Monday noon. “We have received a number of petitions for subcommittee heads, but not enough for general chair man to make a fair selection,” Al len stated. Piggers' Guide Petitions Due Apr. 23 Petitions for Piggers’ Guide po sitions of editor and business man ager should be turned in to the educational activities office by noon of April 23, according to ed ucational activities manager Dick Williams. Any student may apply for these positions on the 1949,50 student directory. Selection will be made from the petitions. The weaker the argument the stronger the words. Women's Play Day Sets “Animal Fair" will be the theme for Oregon's first women's Play Day to be this Saturday. Decorations will consist of figures of animals which represent the various schools participating in this event. Women students interested in sports are expected from 11 other colleges in the state. Any girls interested in taking part in any of the games may attend regardless of whether they are WAA members or Viot. “They will have a chance to meet girls from all over the state," said Joan Mimnaugh, chairman of invitations. Tennis, ping pong, and badminton tournaments, softball, swimming, volleyball, and square dancing will be the sports in which the girls may take part. These events, under the WAA leadership of Mary Stadelman, Pat Mounts, and Janice Neely will start Saturday noon and end at 6 that evening.
