If the games were strictly a
stag affair everybody would
■come. No one would remain at
home because he or she didn’t
have a date for the game. Under
” these conditions it would be en
tirely up to the individuals pres
_ ent as to whether they mixed or
not.
It would be a good plan to meet
. people and make new friends. It
could be a good thing for Oregon
spirit. It might be just the thing
* for the lift that spirit seems to
need.
The question still is “Can we do
* it here?” It’s up to the students.
It might be well to give a good
. deal of consideration to both sides
of the question before anyone
starts or moves in one direction or
* the other.

Police Hit Forking
Violators at Game
A “final” warning has been is
sued to Eugene sports fans by the
police department, reminding them
that they may not park their cars
in alleys or driveways during ath
letic contests.
During Friday night’s game at
McArthur court, nine automobiles
were ticketed and towed away
from 18th and 19th avenues.
Whenever a complaint is re
ceived at police headquarters, an
officer is sent to the scene to in
vestigate. If he is unable to find
the car’s owner, it is towed to a
downtown parking lot, and the
owner is cited into traffic court,
fined and ordered to pay towing
charges.
