You are guilty of gross mis management, slackness, inepti tude and lack of judgment. How could you have allowed such a state of affairs to exist for so long ? How could you have al lowed persons whose personalities and mentalities had been pervert ed by communistic poison to train and care for the still unformed minds of youth ? Men and women who have built and maintained our flourish ing capitalist system send their sons and daughters to college. They trust their children to you, Mr. President. It is your business to maintain a high standard of morality and integrity in the school, and that means exclusion of red mind-poisoners. Veterans, who have fought to protect our system from foreign isms, do not go to college to hear the insidious underminings of those bent on wrecking the same government which is helping the veteran get his education. It's your business to clean out the super-criminal communists wher defend to the death his OWN right to think as he pleases. Foster Provost, Jr. To the Editor: I find you, the president of the University of Washington, guil ever they may be, whether in the faculty or in the student body. Why do I say super-criminals? Because the yapping of these communist dogs has one theme, “something for nothing.” The common criminal takes some risk to get his loot. The robot-brained, mob-intellect Bolshevik, under the protection of the very free dom he would destroy, only cries, “Soak the rich! Down with cap italism!”, and when he gets enough malcontents on his side he sets up a police state and systematically loots the people who have contributed most to so ciety. These red ingrates bite the hand that feeds them. They want to wreck the society that is put ting food in their griping mouths and clothes on their lazy backs. They enjoy greater freedom of thought and expression in our country than exists anywhere else and they still scream because they can’t control the press. (OSC take note.) They only want freedom so they can take power and banish freedom forever. The scandal made public at the University of Washington is a * shocking black mark on the rec ord of American education. This unhealthy breeding of communists I that has burst forth like an ugly open sore is cause for highest in dignation among all alert citi zens. Immediate militant and vig orous steps should be taken by all ' state governments to prevent an other such disaster. It is our duly to restore American education to its former position of high integ rity by having all teachers sign - non-Communist affidavits. Fred J.
