Nobel Prize Out;
Committee Says
OSLO, Norway, Nov. 18—(AP) 1
The Nobel peace prize committee !
said today it would make no award
this year.
As is usual when there is no
award, the five-man committee ap- j
pointed by the Norwegian parlia
ment gave no reasons for its nega
tive decision.
But the announcement was in
terpreted to mean that no worthy
candidate had been found in this
period of cold war.
