Seventy-One Men Pledged

Seventy-one University men
have pledged Oregon fraternities
since the beginning of fall term, di
rector of men's affairs Vergil P.
Eogdall’s office revealed Friday.
Phi Sigma Kappa leads the list
in number of new pledges, with nine
men. Delta Tau Delta follows with
eight, and Sigma Alpha Mu, Lam
bda Chi Alpha, and Phi Gamma
Delta have each claimed five new
pledges. '

'Horrors' Await
YMCA Visitors
A “tunnel of horrors” will await
guests at the YMCA Halloween
mixer to be held on the evening of
October 29.

According to Bob Bozorth, general
chairman, there will be no admis
sion charge.
A varied entertainment program
has been planned. Dick Paris will
offer comedy dance numbers, while
Bob Miller will play several piano
boogie numbers. A juvenile dance
team is also tentatively scheduled
for the program.
Guests are urged to adhere to
the informal theme by wearing
either cords or jeans. The event will
be the first major YM social event
of the year.
