ROTC Officers Appointed for Coming Year Student; Colonel of the ORTC for the coming year will be Carl S. Miller, as announced yesterday by the office of Colonel Maerdian. Mil ler is an affiliate of Theta Chi fra ternity. Assisting Miller will be Lt. Col onel Rickard B. Smith, Jr., regi mental executive officer; Major Charles A. Rufner, adjutant; Major Robert F. Phillips, supply officer; Major Lowell M. Chase, plans and training officer; Lt. Colonel Selwin D. Wisdom, battalion commander, 1st Battalion; and Lt. Colonel Robin P. Petitions Due For Campus WSSF Heads Petitions for chairmanships in the World Student Service fund drive have been called for by gen eral chairman Art Johnson. Peti tions will be accepted until next Wednesday evening by Jack Mer ner at the YMCA or by Lois Greenwood at the YWCA. The drive itself is scheduled for Jan uary 10-14. WSSF is the American fund raising organization of the World Student Relief. It is the main campus drive and last year was the only drive supported by the ASUO executive council, Johnson said. Its purpose is to raise funds for students in war-stricken areas. Positions open include campus contact chairman, (2) fund treas urers, promotion, stunts, posters, religious organization, faculty drive, off-campus drive. The drive here is supported by the student religious council. Don ald DuShane, director of student affairs, will serve as adult ad viser.
