    Lipman’s college board is now
ready to meet and serve you. Items
for your college wardrobe are now
on our shelves just waiting for you
to give them the glad-eye.
Let’s take a look at what some
of the students have been doing
during the summer. Many of the
lads and lassies have either been
to or are going to national con
ventions for their fraternities and
sororities.
Among the travelers: Sue Mercer
took in the Pi Phi convention at
French Lick, Indiana. Sue is talk
ing about her trip with “ohs” and
“ahs.” These people who get to
travel!
Jim Hall and Owen Bentley are
back from the ATO convention at
Sun Valley.
Julanne Chevrier is beginning to
[plan her room decorations even
this for ahead. Last year she had
the "strangest” room in the house
until her sisters decided that they
couldn’t stand it and tore it apart
when Julie wasn’t looking.
The Oregon picnic is slated for
August 20th and it is your chance
to see all of your friends again.
One of the big feaures will be a
"pow-wow” with Jim Aiken. He
will give us the low down then on
the coming season.
Just ran into Flo Mitchell and
her friend, Eva Moore. They ex
pect to have a good time on a forth
coming beach party. They can’t
be satisfied with just one party,
however. They have one planned
for an Oregon beach and another
set for a beach in California. The
one in Cal looks like a big affair
from what they say. Four or five
more D. G.’s are going to be there
and right now it looks like an “open
house” affair on the beach.
Just before the Father's Day!
rush the main floor of the store
looked like the quad. From one end
of the flood we could see Nancy
Knight, Julanne Chevrier, Grace
Hoffman and Jack Schmidt.

One person who hasn’t enjoyed'
frsrself this summer is Barbara
Henton. She thought she was
pretty smart when she got sick
just before finals and missed them,
but she hasn’t recovered as soon
as hoped. Here’s wishing her a
speedy recovery.
Want to check the courses over
this year and what’s coming down

during the day, but is handling

SUE MERCER
holding forth in our famous
Caliente Sportswear, says that
you'll love the new, delicate lady
like look in Fall '48's sweaters
and skirts. Finer fabrics —
in the straight, slim skirts.
Finer gauge in the soft
new sweaters.
JULANNE CHEVRIER
You'll find her in our main floor
hosiery — advises that this season
calls for a complete hosiery
wardrobe — to harmonize with
your color schemes — to fall in
with your gentle-lady mood for
gala occasions.

AL PIETSCHMAN
Engineer
is ready for you in our
Men's Clothing Department, 2nd
Floor, and tells us that campus
clothes are again casual and
comfortably cut — but this season
there's a tendency toward a
bold look, in colors
and fabrics.
BOB LAVEY
Fireman
is at his post in the Men's
Furnishings, Main Floor, and he’s
all steamed up with enthusiasm
over the new merchandise
specially purchased for the college
men. See Bob for your
sweaters, shirts, and casual wear.
