t Layouts Asked * From Seniors Each graduating senior in adver tising has been invited by Alpha Delta Sigma, advertising honorary, to submit a full-page ad for the qualification advertising brochure to be distributed again this fall. As a direct result of last year’s brochure, the honorary’s local chap ' ter has announced, many of the * students were placed in organiza tions at good starting salaries and - with good opportunities for ad vancement. w Each page of the brochure will carry one ad, prepared by the stu dent, and printed in a group with the others. These ads wiii be con tained in a standard, clasp-type, - file folder, which will be decorated with a cartoon appropriate to the occasion. This folder will be sent out to the mailing list culti vated from last year’s replies. k Graduating seniors in advertis ing who are interested in preparing a page for inclusion in this year’s * brochure are asked to contact Dr. R. D. Millican, assistant professor of business administration and journalism. Alpha Delta Sigma has requested that seniors interested . should make that contact as early as possible to allow distribution of the brochure before graduation. Radcliffe College Offers Scholarship Fey young'women interested in j personnel work and other branches ! of administration, a limited num ber of fellowships covering tuition fees in whole or in part for the 1948-49 year are being offered by Radcliffe college. In addition to the fellowships there are openings for a limited number of college gradu ates. The tuition is $550. The program includes about sev en months of class instruction giv en by members of the faculty of the graduate school of business ad ministration from Harvard univer sity and others. March of Dimes Show Scheduled The Phffharmonica Trio, Capital recording stars, will be the feat ured attraction tonight at the President’s Birthday Show in the University high school auditorium. The show being held in conjunction with the March of Dimes campaign will begin at 6:30 p.m. The Philharmonica Trio is cur rently playing at one of the local clubs after a successful tour from the east coast. George Kemp’s Tex Beneke's Glenn Miller Band To Make Northwest Debut Here Tex Beneke and the 36-piece Glenn Miller Orchestra will be pre sented' at the Eugene Armory Wednesday, Feb. 4th. This will be the first time that this organiza tion has appeared in the North west. It will present dancing from 7:30 p. m. to midnight. The band will also present a stage show. The entire evenig's admission price is $2.00 per person. The group is comprised of five saxaphones, four trombones, four trumpets, a french horn, four sextette, a local organization, will also be on hand to add variety to the entertainment.
