Suspense Play Set For Today On Radio Hour “The Devil's Flower,” a mystery drama with the accent on suspense, will, be broadcast today over the University hour radio show at 4 p.m. Produced and directed by Harry IWhite, the mystery’s cast will in clude the following members of the radio workshop staff: Paul Hy man, John MacDonald, Bert Moore, Ken Lomax, Bob Houglum, Mary Ester Brock, and Joan Herron. Two freshman women from the School of music will star in the pop ular music program of today’s University hour. Georgene Shank lin will play three piano solos, “Deep Purple,” “Valse Blue,” “Stairway to the Stars.” Sally Peabody, student vocalist, will sing “Lover,” “September Song,” and “If I Could Tell You.” The musical pops program will be produced by Jessie Binford. Concluding the radio hour will be a recorded interview of explorer author Vilhjalrnur Stefansson, conducted by Paul Ryman. Stefans son, a recent lecture guest at the University, will discuss his expe riences while exploring the polar Arctic regions. mmmtm Fund m Fler Name i The late Mrs. Hazel Schwering, dean of women for 13 years, has junior woman’s scholarship named in her honor. Among the objects shown will be paintings, drawings, ceramics, jewelry, Christmas cards, sculp ture, weaving, textiles and novel ties. | On Friday and Sunday the ex hibit will be shown from 1 to 9 p.m. The doors will*be open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., and from 1 to 9 p.m. on Saturday. This year the display will center around a Christmas theme, Henry Heine, president of the planning committee announced. An annual project of the school of architec ture and allied arts, the bazaar gives students a chance to exhibit and sell their work.
