    New Song, Yells
Wanted to Stir
'Big Game' Pep
A contest for original fight
songs and yells will be held from
Nov. 6 through Nov'. 20, the
song and yell committee of the
Webfooters announced yesterday.
First prize for the fight song
will be $25, and writers of the
three winning yells will be award
ed $5 each. The songs and yells
will be introduced homecoming
weekend.
This is the first such drive in
several years, Joanne Frydenlund,
president of the committee said.

Clark to Attend
Centennial Meet
Dr. Dan E. Clark, head of the I
history department, will attend a
meeting in Portland Friday of the
committee appointed by the late
Governor Earl Snell to act as the
planning group for the celebration
of Oregon’s 100th anniversary as
a territory.
According to Dr. Clark, the 17
members of the committee will
probably be assigned their specific
tasks connected with the centen
nial at this Portland meeting to be
held at the Portland chamber of
commerce.

Karl W. Onthank, dean of per

cern has asked for young women
prospective executives in the mer
chandising field. Other stores have
also asked for young women in
this capacity.
A call has also been received
from Columbia steel, a Western
branch of United States Steel ask
ing for graduates to learn the work
