SPE's Win
Ice Contest
All is over but the recovery from
bruises and pulled muscles, as the
first annual "Ice Bowl” game is
now history. The Chi Omega “No
Stars” put on a devastating third
. i'eriod rally, but fade* to catch up
with the Sig Eps early lead. The
final score in the broom-ball con
test was 5-3 in favor of the “All
Stars.” Outstanding on the Chi O s
‘ broom busting sextet was Shirley
Salt, their, goalie, who turned in
a performance any hockey team
would be proud of. On the offense
Merideth Stearns and Dedo Mis
; ley were the big guns.
For the Sig Eps it was Erling
Erlandson and Bert Bowman keep
ing the crowd on their feet. Not for
their skating ability, but for their
lack of it. Both boys spent most of
the game on the ice in a horizontal
position.
In the first game the boys from
riii Sigma Kappa dropped a 3-0
decision to the Sig Ep “A” squad
in a hard fought contest. Rog New
ton and Wayne Ii'icKer teamed
vp to provide the scoimg punch fur
(lie SPE's while Bon Nelson arid
Bob Glascov were tne stars of the
I in Sig six.
This Frida, at six, the Dell r
Zeta “Daredevils” will attempt to
throttle the “All Stars” while at
Seven the boys nom Phi Kappa'
Psi wilt tangle with the Sig Ed
“A” team.
