    Program to Air
Eat-Less Plan
President Truman’s food-conser
vation program will be the subject
of an editorial conference on the
4 p.m. Monday University radio
workshop program over station
KOAC.
Three members of the school of
journalism, including Marvin Mey
ers and Kay Richardson, will hold
a “city room” discussion of the
conservation program, reading
clippings from newspapers and
from the teletypes. The program
will be produced by Virginia
Avery.
Campus recital for Monday’s
broadcast will feature two pian
ists, Wilma Jeanne Wilson and
Wallace Hornibrook, from the
school of music. Miss Wilson will
play Beethoven’s Sonata number
1, while Homibrook’s selections
will be Schumann’s “Des Abends”
and Dohnanyi’s “Rhapsody in C
Major.” John Ta^nady of the radio
staff will direct the musical pro
gram.
Concluding the broadcast will
be “World in Review,” a quarter
hour discussion of world affairs by
Dr. Victor P. Morris, dean of the
business administration school.
Howard to Speak
On Military Topic
The Wesley House Sunday even
ing forum this week will cover
“Christian Attitudes Toward Com
pulsory Military Training.” Dr.
Charles Howard, law school pro- j
fessor, will speak and lead the dis
cussion period.
A buffet supper will start at
5:30 p.m., followed by the forum
at 6:30 p.m. All students are in
vited to attend.

Lewis Award Renewed
Reactivation of the Ion Lewis
scholarship in architecture was an
nounced this week by Sidney W.
Little, dean of the school of archi
tecture a^id allied arts.
The scholarships are available to;
advanced students in architecture
in the University, and are support
ed by a trust fund established by
the late Ion Lewis of Portland.
The scholarship committee stated
that reactivation would not take
place until the summer of 1948.
