40 Seats Reserved For UO Students A block of 40 seats for the Port land Symphony concerts this sea son have been reserved for Univer sity of Oregon students. The new Portland Symphony has been or ganized under Wenner Jensen, for merly a conductor for the Holly wood bowl. Season tickets are being sold for the Sunday afternoon concerts at o student price of $7.20. Regular •season tickets for the same seats are sold for $14.40. Sold separately the seats are $1.80 apiece. The tickets which are for concerts on November 9, 23; Dec. 14; Jan. 4, 18; Feb. 1, 15, 29; March 14; and April 4. will be on sale until Octo ber 25. It has been suggested that stu dents might group together to share rides to the concerts on a cooperative basis. Co-op Credit Good For Summer Boys Students who made purchases at the University Co-op after May 20, 1947 and during the summer ses sions will receive full credit for pur chases if tickets are turned in be fore October 20, M. F. McClain, Co-op manager, announced Tues day. Since tickets were not then ready for issuance this provision has been made so that summer session stu dents may get credit for purchases. Tickets are to be placed in the reg ular collection box.
