    'Snowball'
Rally Route
Revealed
Tonight's snowball rally will
start from three different loca
tions, the Alpha Phi house, Sigma
Kappa, and Delta Delta Delta.
Beta Theta Pi and Chi Psi will
meet at the Gamma Phi house and
leave from Alpha Phi at 6:05. The
group will pick up Phi Psi, Sigma
Nil, Kappa Sigma and Sigma Phi
Epsilon.
It will then proceed up Alder to
13th where it will meet Rebec
house and Delta Upsilon. At this
point it will wait for group num
ber two.
Down Alder
The second group starts at Sig
, i Kappa at 6:05. From there it
moves down Alder, picks up the
Vets Dorms, Alpha Omicron Pi,
Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Gamma
Delta, and Delta Gamma.
On 15th it will pick up mem
bers from Kappa Alpha Theta,
Kappa Kappa Gamma. Zeta Tau
.Alpha, Alpha Chi Omega, Pi Beta
Phi, and Phi Delta Theta.
The group will move down Aider
to Chi Omega. Pi Kappa Alpha.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Fiji, Camp
bell Club. Alpha Xi Delta, and
Sigma Chi.
At 13th and Alder it will meet
group number one and then pro
ceed to University where it will
gather members of Susan Camp
bell. Hendricks, and University
house.
Over to Onyx
It then swing's over to Onyx and
gathers John Straub, Sigma Al
pha Mu, Highland House and
Thatcher Cottage. From Onyx it
c oves back to University and up
to McArthur court.
Group number three starts from
Tri Delt at 6:15. From there it
yi ovos down Univesity, picking up
Theta Chi, Delta Tau Delta, Delta
Zeta, and Alpha Tau Omega. From
18th and University it moves di
rectly to McArthur court.
State Jurist
Visits Campus
Justice Douglas L. Edmonds of
the California supreme court met
with members of Phi Alpha Delta,
professional law fraternity, last
month during a short visit to Eu
gene.
Justice Edmonds discussed plans
for the coming year with the Ore
gon law school members and ten
tatively arranged for a return trip
to Eugene during the school year.
He explained the objectives of the
national chapter, and discussed the
coming convention in Los Angeles
in the spring.
Youngest Justice
Many of the difficult questions
confronting a supreme court jus
tice were discussed by those pres
ent including many practicing at
torneys from Eugene. The justice,
at one time one of the youngest in
the nation on a state supreme
court, assisted the Oregon students
and alaUmni in solving legal prob
lems and to aid in efficient organi
zation of the local chapter.
Master of ceremonies at the
1 meeting was Dudley Walton, jus
tice of the Oregon chapter.
The Oregon (Williams) chapter
of the fraternity has completed ex
tensive plans for activities in the
law school for the year, and plans
to engage in some all-campus func
tions.

All department heads and facul
ty members desiring a yearly
Emerald subscription, copies of
the 1947-48 student and faculty
directory, or the 1948 Oregana,
are asked by Educational Activi
ties manager, Dick Williams, to
send in their inter-departmental
requisitions immediately to the
activities office.
Amphib Auditions
Eager Splashers
Tryouts for the Amphibian club,
swimming honorary, will be held
October 2 and 9 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
in the Gerlinger pool, Shirley Sault,
Amphibian publicity chairman, an
nounced.
Any freshman or old student may
try out for membership and each
applicant will be tested individu
ally for each stroke and for speed.
Open swimming hours at the Ger
linger pool are 4:45 to 6 p.m. on
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday;
4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and Thurs
day; and 10 a.m. to 12 noon on
Saturday.
