Oregana Editor Kicks Through With Couple of Extra Copies SPECIAL** (SDX)**Roy Paul Nelson, editor of the 1947 Oregana ' announced late last night that two I additional copies of the yearbook have arrived, and will be distri buted to students beginning at 8 I a. m. tomorrow in McArthur ! court. i | “These copies are superior to ' the ones we handed out last week,” Editor Nelson revealed. “They’re ! smaller—22 square inches smaller ! —and they're printed on flyweight paper, too!” This unexpected departure from the usual size was made in answer to student pressure for a more j portable yearbook. The editor said that strained muscles and torn | ligaments resulting from pro 1 longed Oregana reading have be come a major problem on the cam - pus. Furthermore, he pointed out that the facilities of the student health services are already greatly overtaxed. “We don’t wish to fill infirmary beds with Oregana victims!” Nel son emphasized. Trudi Chemis, executive secre tary to the editor, said this edi tion of the yearbook could also be sent overseas to former Oregon students serving as guardians of victory. According to Miss Cher nis, it meets exact specifications for a pony edition. “Best, of all, it contains pictures and other printed materials,” she commented. John Benneth, associate editor, announced Monday that chances look "mighty dim” for students who have not yet had their pic tures taken for the 1947 Oregana.
