W. A. Dahlberg Will Talk At The Dalles Graduation W. A. Dahlberg, associate pro fessor of speech and dramatic arts and acting head of the speech and drama department, will speak at the commencement exercises of The Dalles high school today. His topic will be “Habit — A Grave with the Ends Kicked Out.” Dean Announces Expulsion of Two George Hall, acting dean of men, announced yesterday that two male students, both residents of dormi tories, had been expelled for what he called “conduct unbecoming University students.” He declined further comment on the case. All have had three years of voice un der Mrs. Naomi Kellis. Miss Stone is a senior in education. Both Miss Perkins and Miss Williams are lib eral arts majors. The recital will feature a group of German and French pieces, arias, negro spirituals, and Amer ican numbers. Miss Perkins will sing “My Heart at Thy Sweet Voice” from Samson and Delilah. Wesley Party Set For Friday Night Wesley house will play host to Westminsterites at a party Friday night from 8 to 12 p.m., Paul Thomp son, chairman of the affair, dis closed yesterday. Highlighting the evening’s enter tainment will be a variety show at 10:30 p.m. starring “Mandrake” Bill Bishop, the campus magician. Other events of the party include dancing, stunts, and refreshments. Sunday the Wesley house discus sion at 6:30 p.m. will feature a talk by Charles Howard, associate pro fessor of law. His subject will be, “What Every Methodist Ought to Know.” Buffet dinner at 5:30 p.m. and singing at 6:15 p.m. will precede the lecture. Four Art Majors Win Scholarships Winners of the annual Ellen M. Pennell tuition scholarships, as an nounced Tuesday by Dean S. W. Little of the school of architecture and allied arts, are: Mary Lewis, Patti Lincoln, Patricia Beaton, and Dorothy Larson. These scholarships, awarded an nually to students in the school of architecture and allied arts, are en dowed through a bequest from Mrs. Ellen M. Pennell, for many years a ihember of the University Library staff. The University of Oregon was organized in 1872. AP Man to Speak To Editing Group Floyd Lansdon, Portland man ager of the Associated Press, ar rived in Eugene yesterday for a visit at the University of Oregon school of journalism. The veteran newsman will discuss the role of press services for journalism edit ing classes this afternoon. He is visiting the school on the invita tion of George Turnbull, dean of the journalism school.
